Create and manage project punch lists for final inspections, closeout, and ensuring all work is completed to specification.
Creating a Punch List
- Navigate to your project
- Tap Punch Lists
- Tap + New Punch List
- Name the punch list (e.g., "Building A - Floor 2")
- Set the due date
- Add punch items
Adding Punch Items
For each punch item, enter:
- Location - Room, area, or grid reference
- Description - What needs to be fixed
- Trade - Responsible subcontractor
- Priority - High, Medium, Low
- Photo - Image of the issue
Punch Item Status
- Open - Needs attention
- In Progress - Being worked on
- Ready for Review - Work completed, needs verification
- Completed - Verified and accepted
- Rejected - Work not acceptable, redo required
Assigning Items
Assign punch items to:
- Your own crews
- Subcontractors
- Specific individuals
Assignees receive notifications and can update status from their mobile device.
Photo Documentation
Take before and after photos for each punch item. This creates a clear record of the issue and its resolution.
Walking a Punch List
Conduct a punch list walkthrough:
- Open the punch list on your mobile device
- Walk through the area systematically
- Add items as you find them
- Take photos on the spot
- Assign to responsible parties immediately
Closing Out Items
- Open the punch item
- Review the completed work
- Take a completion photo
- Mark as Completed
- Add any notes
Punch List Reports
Generate reports showing:
- Open items by trade/subcontractor
- Items past due
- Completion progress
- Full punch list for distribution
