Creating a Punch List

  1. Navigate to your project
  2. Tap Punch Lists
  3. Tap + New Punch List
  4. Name the punch list (e.g., "Building A - Floor 2")
  5. Set the due date
  6. Add punch items

Adding Punch Items

For each punch item, enter:

  • Location - Room, area, or grid reference
  • Description - What needs to be fixed
  • Trade - Responsible subcontractor
  • Priority - High, Medium, Low
  • Photo - Image of the issue

Punch Item Status

  • Open - Needs attention
  • In Progress - Being worked on
  • Ready for Review - Work completed, needs verification
  • Completed - Verified and accepted
  • Rejected - Work not acceptable, redo required

Assigning Items

Assign punch items to:

  • Your own crews
  • Subcontractors
  • Specific individuals

Assignees receive notifications and can update status from their mobile device.

Photo Documentation

Take before and after photos for each punch item. This creates a clear record of the issue and its resolution.

Walking a Punch List

Conduct a punch list walkthrough:

  1. Open the punch list on your mobile device
  2. Walk through the area systematically
  3. Add items as you find them
  4. Take photos on the spot
  5. Assign to responsible parties immediately

Closing Out Items

  1. Open the punch item
  2. Review the completed work
  3. Take a completion photo
  4. Mark as Completed
  5. Add any notes

Punch List Reports

Generate reports showing:

  • Open items by trade/subcontractor
  • Items past due
  • Completion progress
  • Full punch list for distribution
