This guide walks you through configuring your BLDR company account after initial setup. These settings apply to your entire organization.
Accessing Account Settings
- Log in to BLDR on the web at app.bldr.app
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu
Company Profile
Complete your company profile to customize BLDR for your business:
Basic Information
- Company Name - Your official business name
- Company Address - Main office location
- Phone Number - Primary contact number
- Website - Your company website (optional)
Company Logo
Upload your company logo to appear on:
- PDF reports and exports
- Email notifications
- Printed documents
Recommended size: 400x400 pixels, PNG or JPG format
Cost Codes
Set up cost codes to categorize labor and track project costs:
- Go to Settings → Cost Codes
- Click + Add Cost Code
- Enter the code number and description
- Optionally set a default hourly rate
- Click Save
Common cost codes include: 001 - General Labor, 002 - Concrete, 003 - Framing, 004 - Electrical, 005 - Plumbing, etc.
Employee Types
Define employee classifications for your organization:
- Foreman
- Journeyman
- Apprentice
- Laborer
- Operator
Timesheet Settings
Configure how timesheets work for your company:
Pay Period
- Weekly - Sunday to Saturday
- Bi-weekly - Every two weeks
- Semi-monthly - 1st-15th and 16th-end of month
Overtime Rules
- Set daily overtime threshold (e.g., 8 hours)
- Set weekly overtime threshold (e.g., 40 hours)
- Configure overtime multiplier (1.5x, 2x)
Break Deductions
- Automatic - Deduct 30 min for 8+ hour shifts
- Manual - Workers log break times
- None - No break deductions
Notification Settings
Control email notifications for your account:
- Daily summary emails
- Timesheet submission alerts
- Safety meeting reminders
- Incident report notifications
Security Settings
- Password Requirements - Minimum length and complexity
- Session Timeout - Auto-logout after inactivity
- Two-Factor Authentication - Extra security for admin accounts
