Work orders in BLDR help you create, assign, and track tasks for your team. Keep everyone on the same page with real-time status updates.

Creating a Work Order

  1. Navigate to your project
  2. Tap Work Orders
  3. Tap + New Work Order
  4. Fill in the details:
    • Title - Brief description of the work
    • Description - Detailed instructions
    • Priority - Low, Medium, High, Urgent
    • Due Date - When the work should be completed
    • Assigned To - Who will do the work
    • Location - Where on the job site
  5. Attach any relevant photos or documents
  6. Tap Create

Work Order Status

Track progress with status updates:

  • Open - Newly created, not yet started
  • In Progress - Work has begun
  • On Hold - Temporarily paused
  • Completed - Work finished
  • Cancelled - No longer needed

Assigning Work Orders

Assign work orders to:

  • Individual Users - Specific team members
  • Teams - Groups of workers
  • Subcontractors - External parties

Assigned users receive notifications when:

  • A work order is assigned to them
  • Due date is approaching
  • Work order is updated or commented on

Updating Work Orders

Keep work orders current:

  1. Open the work order
  2. Tap Update Status
  3. Select the new status
  4. Add a comment explaining the update
  5. Attach completion photos if applicable
Photo Documentation

Take before and after photos for each work order. This creates a visual record of completed work.

Filtering & Searching

Find work orders quickly:

  • Filter by status, priority, or assignee
  • Search by title or description
  • Sort by due date, created date, or priority
  • View by list or calendar

Work Order Reports

Generate reports showing:

  • Open work orders by project
  • Completed work orders by date range
  • Work order status breakdown
  • Overdue work orders
